This course is helpful to anyone curious about Sciatica, one of the leading complaints of chronic pain today. Appropriate for both the yoga teacher and student interested in gaining a better understanding of the potential causes of this condition and movement practices that may support healing.

In this course, we will look at the anatomy of the pelvis in relation to the sciatic nerve, the role the nerve plays in functional movement, and common dysfunction and stressors that can impede nerve function. To conclude, we will evaluate how a yoga practice and particular postures can help to support and create stability around the injured tissue to facilitate healing.
